Fascinations Exercise
(Last Update: 10/16/2006)

Fascinations help you to identify possible career paths. As you complete the exercise below, remember that fascinations are not verbs; they are nouns. You are not fascinated by flying but by airplanes. You are not fascinated by gardening but by plants and/or flowers.

Instructions: Think about the things that you have always been passionate about; the areas that have always held your attention or caught your interest. Don't worry or even think about whether they are viable career options - just get those special areas documented below.

Fascinations can be:

Topics - Are there topics that so interest you that when you see a headline you immediately read the article?
Issues - Are there issues that are so important to you that you constantly update yourself on current trends?
School subjects - Are there school subjects that always peak your interest?
Hobbies - Do you have hobbies that you seek out and enjoy whenever time permits?
Industries - Are there certain industries that have always held your interest?
Causes - Are you committed to causes that draw straight from your heart?

My fascinations include:
Example: professionals, human development, change, approaches to learning, innovation
